Omar Mbowe, PhD, MBA
Omar is the Managing Partner of Auxilia Capital Partners, LLC (a New York limited liability company) and a multifamily investor with advanced training in business management and statistics. He manages day-to-day operations of the business.
Omar holds a BA in Mathematics (magna cum laude) from St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Canada (through an extension program in The Gambia), has graduate level training in statistics and computer science from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and an MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester in New York. Omar is also licensed to practice commercial real estate in New York.
Prior to his involvement in business and real estate, Omar was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of Rochester (U of R). His primary responsibility was to provide biostatistics support for pain researchers at ACTTION (Analgesic, Anesthetic, and Addiction Clinical Trial Translations, Innovations, Opportunities, and Networks). This is a public-private partnership with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) based in the U of R ‘s Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. In this role, he also worked as an FDA contractor with US government security clearance to securely access data at the FDA.
